Hamburg (German State), Scott No. 1, Used, Very Fine Plus, 3 1/2 Margins
Hamburg (German State), Scott No. Hamburg (German State), Scott Number 1.1/2 Schilling, Black on light Gray paper, Issue of 1859, Very Fine Plus centering, great color. Used with clear diagonal bar cancellation. 3 1/2 Margin copy, No faults noted. A valuable and beautiful stamp from the turbulent European mid 19th century. Keep in mind the age of these stamps when viewing. Many of them have flaws and I will do my best to point them out. In some cases I have never found flawless examples so don't let this deter you from adding some of these to your collection. Flaws will be taken into consideration in pricing; however in some instances, even with flaws, their rarity will dictate price regardless. I've been a stamp collector (never a Dealer) my entire life. This item is from my personal collection. The stamp shown is the stamp you will receive. I seal the packets on all open sides. This acts both as a stiffener to prevent bending while in transit and as a means to avoid moisture ingress.
